We know what you’re thinking… will my customers orders arrive by Christmas? As you anxiously track your customers orders, feel free to take a quick pause from hitting refresh on that tracking site and have confidence. USPS is quite literally moving mountains (of packages) and making tremendous progress!
What you can expect
Earlier this week we had over 26,000 packages in transit for orders placed before the holiday shipping cutoff. As of this morning, we are down to just 6,000 in transit! We will continue to see progress throughout the weekend and expect the majority of orders to deliver by end of day Monday, with others to follow early next week.
Why is my order not moving?!
During peak season, carriers skip the scanning process to keep packages moving as quickly as possible. This means you could see that an order has shipped and then not see any progress for several days or gaps in scanning as the order moves through the network.
Please don’t panic. The package is likely still moving toward its destination, or in many times, it has already been delivered!
As you know, it’s the busiest shipping time of the year and carriers are all operating at peak volume. They are all working long hours and very tirelessly to make sure those gifts arrive by Christmas morning.
